15 Month Doctor Stats

Three shots this morning, including the flu shot.

Height: 29 inches (10%)
Weight: 18 lbs, and 2 oz (Not on the chart)
Head: 17 3/4 inches (25%)

Growing at a steady pace! She kept her percentages the same from her 12 month visit. Doctor Sickler is very happy with her progress. No changes to be made. Good work, Jordan.

Doctor: Please describe Jordan - is she "happy, easy going, or more fiery?"
Gayla: HA - not the first two mentioned. She is stubborn and independent, and happy when she is doing what she wants to do. Otherwise, we make lots of compromises.
Doctor: Ah, she is very smart!
Gayla: That is what the Grandmothers keep telling us!

Don't you love our doctor?!?!? :)

Our new favorite sitter

Jordan spent Friday at Nora's house since the PofP teachers had an inservice all day. We heard from Leslie that the girls were very sweet and fun to watch. We owe Leslie for watching our little girl on Friday! Thank you!

Wedding in Waco

Maybe in 30 years or so Jordan's Daddy will buy her a real wedding dress. :) Those of you who have a Toddler know how hard it is to get a decent picture!
Aunt Bonnie, Cousin Whitney, Jordan (over an hour past bedtime), and Nana Noni.

Jordan and Audra playing in the hotel hallway.

The Wheelis crew took a trip to Waco for Michelle Wheelis' wedding. Didn't get too many pics, but hopefully others will share their pictures later this week. Jordan and Audra ran up and town the hallway at the hotel for at least an hour on Saturday! The wedding was gorgeous, but a bit late for Jordan to really enjoy. Since 7:30 is her typical bedtime and the wedding "tip-off" was at 7:30 we had a sleepy, fussy little girl. Thank you to Aunt Bonnie for holding Jordan during the ceremony! Thank goodness Whitney does not mind sharing her Mommy!

15 Months Old

Will post stats next week, after the doctor appointment.

Jordan is 15 months old. We are so blessed to have such an animated, inquisitive, independent, snuggly, little girl. Jordan is starting to sound out and use more words, but mostly she is a pointer! And that girl is FAST. She races around the house so fast that she face plants to slow down. We receive weekly "incident reports" at school for new bruises and bumps. Jordan is pointing to a few body parts; nose, ear, toes, and head, but mostly she just likes to clap and celebrate when she points to one or all at our request! Do you think we praise her enough or what? She bypasses our praise and just celebrates on her own. Very cute! She still continues to be a good eater, when it is something she wants. We definitely go through phases on certain foods, but overall she is eating enough and most of it is healthy! I have never seen a little one eat a Mini Muffin (banana nut) as quickly as Jordan though. :) One of Jordan's new accomplishments is learning how to get off the bed and couch. Feet first. She still is not tall enough to get on either by herself, but she sure does try.

Fall is here....

So long to the summer, lime green dress and hello to FALL clothes! :) My parents were up for the weekend since my Mom had been in Rockwall for a conference most of the week. Dad flew up on Friday afternoon, and they both left Sunday morning. A nice visit with the folks, and my Aunt Lisa, Uncle Dale, Aunt Gay, Uncle Zip, and Cousin Lexa. A Saturday with family - enjoyed it! And of course, Jordan showed off all her newest tricks and is loved more each time she spends with family.
A VERY BIG HAPPY 30TH TO MY BROTHER GARY!!! October 4th is the day. We celebrated in TX with all the family even though he working far from us in Saudi. And a Happy 90th B-Day to Mark's Grandpa, Papa Karl, in Arizona too!
