31 Week Appointment and 8 More Weeks to Go

Today, Jenna and I had our 31 Week appointment with the OB. It was also our monthly sonogram appointment to measure Jenna's growth more accurately and closely. With my new gestational diabetes diet, and my weight gain struggle - totally worth having the extra sonograms to keep an eye on Miss Jenna. All looks great this time - and continuing to stay on track! She even looks to be catching up a bit. They estimate that she weighs 3 pounds and 7 ounces already! YAY! In another 8 weeks, she'll definitely make it to the 6-7 pound range so long as everything keeps going smoothly. Can't wait for July to get here.

Whitney's 2nd BDay Party

Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Whitney....Yet another May birthday! Some of Bonnie's photos of the girls. They are really starting to be good friends and enjoy playing together. Jordan was lucky enough to get to open a present too! A Bubble Lawn Mower - and yes, we used it first thing Sunday morning!

Nora's Third BDay Party

Couldn't resist adding a couple of Leslie's pictures of our big girls to the blog. Nora's birthday was fabulous and we had a GREAT time.

Stinkin' Cute Photo Shoot

Mark's coworker's wife has a photography business, and she needed a few models that were right about Jordan's age. We drove to Fort Worth and volunteered. Let's just say that Jordan 'frowned' in most of her pictures and told Mark all about how she only smiled a little bit.....regardless, the fancy clothes and hair bows were pretty darn cute. And Jordan was a stinker. So it was all worth it and fun!

Early Birthday.........again........

Jordan specifically asked for a kitchen this year............one arrived, in a box, on Friday. After Mark spent 2 hours and 3 trips to Home Depot to replace our doorbell we then started on the kitchen. We'll have to thank Gigi for the GREAT gift for Jordan, but oh my, how many pieces can one kitchen be broken down into. Without a doubt, a full 2 hour project, but all worth it because Jordan LOVES it.

Early Birthday Presents....galore....

Gigi pulled out the sewing machine, at my request, and made Jordan a new, PINK dress! We love it. Boy, Jordan sure is a girlie girl!!

29 Weeks

I had my 29 week appointment this morning. Nothing too exciting to report. Baby is growing consistently and all my vitals were great. Measurement at 28 weeks, but the one week 'tiny' does not concern us at all. I am working through a new diet to control my gestational diabetes. This hasn't been fun, but I am learning a lot about what I should be eating to keep my levels even and not too low or too high. Jordan and I are really starting to get excited about setting up all the baby things and meeting Jordan' s little sisiter, "after her Birthday". This is Jordan's favorite thing to tell me about her little sister - that she'll be here after her Birthday and that she will cry alot. But, of course, she'll use a paci (a pink one), and Jordan will hold her and rock her. She almost sounds like she has this all figured out! I really do think she will be a sweet big sister..........at least most of the time!!

Favorite Quote

After Jordan uses the potty....

Jordan: Mommy is sooooooo happy!
Jordan: Mommy is soooooooo proud of me!

This is pretty much said every time she uses the potty. You'd think I didn't give her any praise, huh? :)

Colby's Dedication - Mother's Day 2011

"I'm a princess." Jordan loved wearing a fancy pink dress to church this morning for Colby's Dedication. She is such a girly girl.

Colby Michael Wheelis - 2 Weeks Old

Mark and Jordan

Jordan's lasted the first 10 minutes at church, and then off to the nursery to play with the kiddos and Whitney too!

Easter Morning

A little late, but we did hunt Easter Eggs at the house.................keep in mind it was potty training boot camp weekend so we didn't head out to Egg Hunts outside of the house and away from a potty. :)

Funny Thoughts

During bath time right after Mark attempts to wash Jordan's hair:

Jordan: You are not my friend
Mark: What?
Jordan: You are not my friend any more
Mark: Well you are my favorite friend
Jordan: Oh, okay

Where do they pick up these things?!?!?

Mark: Let's go and look at a new car for Mommy
Jordan: Okay
Mark: We want to see them and drive them
Jordan: Mommy needs to get a new pink car

We knew that was coming!!

Jordan: Oh Birdie, it's okay. Don't cry. Mom, Birdie needs her dinner and a bone too!

Potty Training!!!

I just wanted to make sure I posted that Jordan had ZERO pee-pee accidents at school the first week after Potty Training Boot Camp! We are so proud. It has been a week since an accident. YAY! We still have work to do on the poop training and the night time/nap time training, but we have made so much progress in one week. What a big girl!!!!
