Surgery

Ear Tubes are In and Adenoids are OUT. Wrapped up surgery this morning. Arrival at 6:10 am and surgery at 7:30 am; headed home at 8:30 am. Jordan did great! As a warning to all those with 2 year olds that have to be put "under" for surgery - the waking up part is absolutely miserable for Kiddo and Parents. Very, very sad and an angry little kid. Tears and kicking and fighting against you. Only lasts about 20 minutes, but is a very long 20 minute ordeal. The Doctor told us that one of Jordan's tubes was completely out of her ear; the other one was out of her ear, but still there because of all the gunk holding it there. She needed a new set of tubes for sure - lots and lots of gunk in both ears as well as all over her adenoids. Hope the surgery helps out Jordan for years and years!! The most amusing part to me was that I worried so much about the Doctor taking her back to the operating room and how she'd be so sad and would cry for us. Instead, she told him that she was "ready" and basically leaped into his arms to head back to surgery. What an adventurous little girl!

  1. Oh, so sorry she had to have this done. However, Addison's friend had to go this same route...tubes once and then tubes again and adenoids out too. She's SO MUCH BETTER! You'll be thankful y'all went this route. Sending everyone hugs!! :)
