Shots all around!

This morning I took both girls to their pediatrician for check ups.  It could not have gone better.  Yes, there were tears after the shots, but Jordan was very brave and Jenna only cried for a short time.  So, we do not have to get shots for Jordan until she turns 11.  YAY!  Run down:

Jordan:
Counted to 10 (almost made it to 20)
Wrote her name (uses upper and lower case letters)
Drew a square, a cross and a circle (knows the difference between an oval and circle and almost drew a triangle - which is a 5 year old task)
Told the doctor that she lives in Dallas and Gigi lives in Houston and Nana lives in Arkansas
Used please and thank you and overall was a very pleasant 4 year old during the appointment (yay)
She volunteered to get her shots first (and did cry, but only for a minute)

Height: 38 1/2 inches (25% percentile)
Weight: 33.2 pounds (35% percentile)
BMI: 16.0

Jordan has her right tube in her ear and her left tube is no longer in her ear, but no infection.  Other than that, the doctor talked to me about making sure she eats plenty of veggies and fruit and to continue to work on recognizing and writing her upper and lower case letters, numbers 1 to 20, and learning her address and phone number (all 5 year old pre-K skills she will learn before Kinder).  Read, read, read to her daily!  Dr Sickler says Jordan is right on track for her age and she should be ready for Kindergarten next year.  Oh my goodness!

Jenna:
Waved bye bye to the doctor (she is great at waving)
Pointed her finger at her paci, and at her sister
Pulled up
Cruised on the couch in the doctor office (what a show off!)
Four teeth
Smacks her lip when something is yummy
Eats all table food we give her - CLEANS her plate!
Nurses morning and night, and getting close to no bottles during the day at school
Getting much better at using her sippy cup - whole milk mixed with breast milk
Says Ma-Ma and Da-Da and is starting to mimic the sounds and words that we say to her
Both tubes are in her ears, but they are both draining so we need to use Ciprodex ear drops for a week
Gives hugs when we say the word "Hug" - sweetness!

Height: 26 3/4 inches (5%)
Weight: 16 lbs 6 oz (-5%)
Head: 17 1/4 inches (25%)

Jenna can now try honey, eggs and peanut butter.  We need to start brushing her teeth daily.  She can start trying to use and playing with spoons at meal time.  At 15 months she may start to learn and point to her body parts like her nose and mouth, tummy and ears.  Dr. Sickler said that Jenna is developmentally right on track or a little above her peers.  Way to go sweet girl.
