ENT and 8 Months Old

Jordan - 8 months - above

Today Jenna is 8 months old and she slept until 8 am when Jordan (who has flu and strep) and I took her to the ENT for her first visit. After 4 ear infections since December Jenna will be getting tubes put in next week. Poor Thing. Hopefully she'll start hearing better and be a bit happier. However, she is a great baby and is very happy most of the time. I think she is just under 16 lbs and I think she is short for her weight based on the size of her thighs and her chubby cheeks! Jenna-Bear is sitting great and rolling, but no interest in crawling yet and no teeth yet either. She's a great baby and Jordan calls her her Best Friend......other times she is a bit 'mean' to her - taking her paci and I've seen her pinch her at least once. I have a feeling that there may be some interesting days to come! Jenna also said her first word in the last week - Ma-Ma! Write that one down in the baby book.

Papa Steve Birthday

Papa Steve and Nana Noni came to Lucas to spend some time with us and help with a few chores and shopping at the new and old house! YAY! We celebrated Papa Steve's Birthday with an enchilada dinner prepared by Nana. The Steven Wheelis family joined us in the celebration. A family celebration. Picture to follow.......

Big Kid

Jenna moved to the big Infant side of the classroom this week and she has learned to love snack time this week! :)

Jordan's Valentine to God

So the teachers asked the three year olds to write/tell them their Valentine's to God. This list was sent home yesterday. Hilarious. I will add more from the list when I am in front of the sheet of paper, but Jordan's goes like this.

Dear God, Happy Valentine's Day. I like to tell you what I want from Santa for Christmas and I really like calendar time (circle time) at school.

So funny!

Oh, and another post on Jordan's recent behavior. She is one strong-willed child at school, but only when it comes time for nap! She just about refuses to take one, and has at times been basically a bit of a stinker. She has had to make trips to Mrs. Lynn's office (ELC Director) and actually take her nap in her office so that the other children have some peace and quiet. I can honestly say that this gene is NOT a Gayla gene. :)

Jenna - 7 months

I am a week late, but Jenna is 7 months and 15 lbs now! YAY! Sleeping the entire night consistently. However, she is still sleeping in our room in the pack and play. I am not prepared to go up and down stairs when she does need me! She is sitting and rolling and starting to show interested in reaching/scooting for toys. She is an easy, happy baby! Jenna loves to squeal and 'sing'. She might just like to hear herself OVER her sister. HA! We are all moved into our new house - the girls love their rooms. I hope to post several pictures very soon!

Finally sitting

Finally rolled from back to front (in her sleep)

Finally moved across the room by her sister (knew this would happen at some point)

Finally eating baby food daily and LOVES it

The best giggles ever

Recognizes her family and smiles/cries when we enter/leave her sight

No teeth yet however

Ear infection, ear infection, and croup all within 1 month.
