Today Jordan turned 14 months old! Wow, where did the time go. She is approximately 17 1/2 to 18 pounds and probably close to 28/29 inches tall. Really hard to measure height on a Toddler!! A few things that Jordan is doing:
- Walking and running
- Clapping, and waving her hands bye-bye
- Dancing and doing "Happy Feet" dance
- Stomping slightly when not getting her way; along with crying and sitting on the floor (can't wait for the Terrible 2's)
- She says the following words regularly: Mama, Dada, Dog, Ball, More, Milk, and a few others that we have not identified
- Jordan recognizes that snacks are in the pantry and milk is in the refrigerator and stands at each when hungry/thirsty
- Sleeps one nap per day and 11 hours at night
- Loves to pick out books to read, but only reads a couple pages before losing interest
- Still loves to play with balls - soccer, small plastic balls, tennis balls. She can throw great for a 14 month old
- Jordan likes to bring toys to us and sit on the floor with us a play, especially with her toolbox and shapes and puzzles
- Jordan loves to run towards us to give hugs
- She likes to dance, swing, and be rowdy with Dad
- Still a great eater, but definitely knows what food she likes and dislikes - yogurt is the favorite and blueberries too - oh ane Eggo pancakes too. Still not a fan of meat yet.
- Only using the pacifier at nap time and bed time
- Jordan can point to her ear and her nose (only when she interested in this game)
- Learned to climb up and down stairs this weekend and likes to practice this task
- Slides on the slide at school all by herself
- Starting to use a spoon and fork on her own
- Loves to put on her shoes and then take them off too
