18 Months

Today, Jordan is 18 months old. Where has the time gone? Jordan has truly grown up in the last few months. Her vocabulary is growing daily and she now understands so much that we say. Over the Holidays she picked up several new words, and really got to know her extended family during their Christmas visits. Jordan has figured out how to get on and off her chairs in the playroom, as well as stand on them, and scurry across the table too! Jordan has discovered that she likes to wear her shoes and socks, and a bow in her hair. At breakfast she typically asked for her hair bow by pointing to her head and saying "bow". Jordan also has figured out to bring us a diaper and wipes when she is ready for a diaper change. She has started to tell us when she is 'stinky' and sometimes even before she goes poop in her diaper she tells us "poo-poo" - I thought this was pretty good!! Perhaps we will start working on potty training in the near future. Oh joy! She still loves her books, and her puzzles, and enjoys throwing the tennis ball for Birdie to fetch or throwing the ball right at Birdie. Of course, Birdie may not give it back to her in a hurry which rather frustrates Jordan. And recently, Jordan's favorite thing is to tell Birdie to get in her "spot", and then to give Birdie a "treat". Jordan is not fearful of Birdie taking a snip at her fingers, she offers the treat right up to her mouth. Thank goodness, Birdie is sweet and kind to her (unless a frisbee is involed and then Jordan might be run over!).
Last Minute Update - Mark watch Jordan tonight while I attended a work function. If you can believe this - Jordan went potty in her little potty for the first time on her 18 months B-Day. Way to go!

Jordan's Stats:
Height: 31 inches (25%)
Weight: 20.4 pounds (5%)
