19 Months Old

Just a few quick things............

Jordan’s favorite new words: Apple, Chip, Hot, No, Yellow, Poo-Poo, Mama (says this 100 times a night using different tones and inflection), Heart, Cookie, Trash, Bite (a bite of our food), Potty, Elmo (she has an Elmo book that is her favorite). She is now telling Birdie to “sit” and “drop” and uses her pointer finger to make it more emphatic! Honest, she does.

Jordan’s favorite new motion: Airplane (arms out and sway – Mark flies her around the house EVERY night before bed time), and Pointing to her heart and saying “heart”, as well as pointing to her feet and asking for her shoes, socks, and pointing to her head and asking for a hair bow. Climbing onto the ottoman and then climbing over the couch arm onto the couch. Jordan also goes to Birdie’s treats every night so that we can give 2 treats to Birdie – she loves this. Poor Birdie is going to gain some weight! I let Jordan carry Birdie’s food to her bowl each night. She likes this. When we drive into the garage after I pick her up from school, we can hear Birdie crying/barking for us (really for her dinner), and Jordan looks at me and immediately says “Birdie?”. They are really getting to be friends.

Jordan’s favorite new food: Apple Sauce, Frosten Mini Wheats, Blueberries, Raisins, Cookie (but only if she can have an entire cookie to herself, but she will only take one bite and then return to us), any thing that Miss Leslie (Nora’s mom) cooks and offers to Jordan. Jordan will try Leslie’s cooking, but refusing to try anything that I offer to her. What does this tell me?!? :) Jordan has finally started eating pieces of grilled chicken and chicken nuggets (Babe's Chicken, Chicken Express, and Chik-Fil-A).

Linden Klein and family came over to play this last weekend. Well, Jordan has some improving to do on her "sharing". Yep, she thinks every toy in the playroom is for her only! By the end of the night, she was doing much better with allowing Lindy to play with her toys.

Boy, we have our hands full! Loving every minute.
